An Afternoon of Classical Music Concert presented by the Friends of the Library

Join us in a Thanksgiving concert of classical chamber music with Christina Wright-Ivanova on piano, Egle Jarkova , violin, and Aristides Rivas , cello. Lithuanian-born violinist Egle Jarkova is the founder and director of the International Summer Music School Vivace Vilnius in Lithuania, runs a large private teaching studio in Boston and performs solo , chamber and regularly with many of New England’s preeminent orchestras. Grammy nominated Venezuelan-born cellist Aristides Rivas is a founding member of the fusion world music band Voci Angelica Trio. Rivas has performed at a wide range of international music venues and a cello faculty at California Baptist University. Christina Wright-Ivanova is currently Associate Professor of Music and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at Keene State College. She serves as the Interim Artistic Director for the Redfern Arts Center and for the past nine years, she has been serving as the Artistic Director for the North End Music & Performing Arts Winter Concert Series. She recently joined the faculty at the New England Conservatory in Boston.

In Dedication:  Works for Piano Trio by Beethoven, Smetana, Mozart/Part
Smetana wrote his trio for the memory of his daughter, Pärt in memory of his violinist friend who loved playing Mozart, and Beethoven for a dear friend Countess.
