Zoom Program: The Two Nerdy History Girls Ride Again!
Wednesday, January 107:00—8:00 PMVIRTUAL PROGRAM - Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923 - 978-774-0554
You know them as the Two Nerdy History Girls - authors Loretta Chase and Susan Holloway Scott, originators of the infamous blog.
"One of us -- Loretta Chase -- writes historical romance. One of us -- Susan Holloway Scott -- writes historical novels, and as Isabella Bradford, wrote historical romances, too.
There’s a big difference in how we use history. But we’re equally nuts about it. To us, the everyday details of life in the past are things to talk about, ponder, make fun of -- much in the way normal people talk about their favorite reality show.
We talk about who’s wearing what and who’s sleeping with whom. We try to sort out rumor or myth from fact. We thought there must be at least three other people out there who think history’s fascinating and fun, too. This blog is for them."
Join Loretta and Susan as they answer all of our burning questions. How do they find interesting tidbits of historical lore, which libraries of the world have they visited, and how do they avoid the inescapable "rabbit hole"? We can't wait for what we know is going to be a fascinating conversation between these two friends and researchers.
Presented in collaboration with the Ashland Public Library and other area libraries.
